June and Summer!
Help prevent the "summer slide" and make sure your child is ready for 1st grade!
Keep practicing:
- counting objects, "How many cookies are on the plate?"
- basic addition and subtraction, "If I give you three cookies and you eat one, how many will you have left?"
- counting out loud to 100, "Can you count to 100 before we get to the market?"
- sight words, look for sight words your child knows when you are reading together
- letter sounds
- reading simple words
- Have you child practice reading their books in their book bag
