ALL VUSD Schools Closed - Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026

Based on afternoon weather conditions from Forest Meadow up past Arnold, the decision has been made to cancel school for a second day on Wednesday, February 18th. This includes school closures for Hazel Fischer, Albert Michelson and Avery Middle School as well as the Hawks Hub program. Additionally, we are cancelling the Public Board Meeting scheduled at Michelson Elementary tomorrow evening – the meeting will be rescheduled when conditions improve and a notice sent out to everyone. As of 4:30pm this evening, many side streets have not been plowed, trees and power lines are down across roadways and power is out in many areas. With up to 4 to 8 more inches expected overnight we have determined it is not safe to hold school tomorrow. The make up day for this "snow day" will be Monday, May 4th, 2026.
