Vallecito Union School District had the opportunity to recognize and celebrate the championship seasons for both the Albert Michelson 5th Grade girls basketball team and the Avery Middle School 8th grade girls basketball team during the public board meeting on November 15, 2023.. The Michelson girls had a perfect season, going undefeated, with a tenacious defense that never gave up more than 11 points a game. The 8th grade girls added a third championship trophy to their collection in three consecutive years - a threepeat!
