NO MOMS ALLOWED HERE!!!
OK everyone. This is THE most important art project I can give you this year. No joke. Mother's day is coming up on Sunday, May 10th and I want you to start secretly crafting your card to your mom, dad, grandma, or guardian. My mom still has some of my cards I made for her when I was 10, and that was eons ago!
Especially during these crazy times your parent deserves a week long Mother's Day where they can be pampered and recognized for the amazing things they do. Seriously, the pressure is on.
I have a couple of ideas for you. Some of these require construction paper, glue, and scissors. If you don't have those things, please reach out to me and I'll see what I can do to help. Remember, it's not about the art exactly, it's about the thought. If you have a different vision, go with it.
You could also create a homemade gift for them, make them breakfast (and clean up!), do one of their chores without them asking, tell them you love and appreciate them, or pick wildflowers for her. It's the thought that counts here, not how much you spend!
Here is my favorite card, but it requires glue, construction paper, and scissors.

Here is a simpler one if you want:

OK guys, this week art is going to be a little bit different. This Wednesday is Earth Day, and I'd like you to celebrate by drawing something from nature. This should be something you can see from your house. I don't want pictures drawn from the internet or a book.
One of my favorite things to do on a hike is to stop and draw something I see in my notebook. It's amazing to see what you notice about nature when you slow down and really look at something closely. So this week, step outside, find a comfortable place to sit, and draw something from nature! Don't forget to send me a picture of your final product!
