Follow the instructions for some fun at home! Don't forget to keep score on some of the slides!

This assignment is optional - meaning only do it if you want to! You can have you parents print at home to color, or do it all online. Then, if you have a printer, print to keep with your yearbook! :)

Please answer the questions the best you can! This way, if our school ever has to do distance learning again, we will know how to make it better for you!

Create a poster, like a movie advertisement poster, of your animals survival traits/adaptations. For example, add in pictures of sharp claws, camouflage skin, fast legs, or whatever your animal uses to survive. You may want to add in some words too! And of course, add in a catchy title if you'd like.

Use your notes to begin writing a paragraph about your animals biome and habitat. I have included a google slide with some sentence starters to help you. Type your paragraph on the SECOND slide please!
I will send back edits you need to make before turning in a final draft. When I send back your rough draft, it will not have a grade this time. I will only grade the final draft :)

Remember, use National Geographic Kids, Kiddle, and Epic to find information.

After finishing your notes on biome and habitat today, please color the areas your animal lives on the attached map (or on paper copy). Then draw a detailed picture of your animal's habitat on paper copy - include animals, plants, weather that can be found there.
** Attach a picture of both pieces of work when turning in!!!

Read Slides, discuss with family. Then write at least 3 sentences about what you do to calm down when you are frustrated.

Today you will take your notes and organize them into a paragraph. We practiced this in class already! Look at the attached Google Doc for a little bit of help getting started. You can do it!

Login to Spelling City through link below. Login as a student. All usernames and passwords are the same as AR unless I told your parents otherwise on Remind :). There are two games available, and a practice test. Choose one game for today and one for Thursday. Practice test Friday.
Paper option: Use week 23 list to write words 3x each or put into a sentence.

Today, please finish researching your animal. Make sure your notes have DETAILS!
After you have completed note taking, draw a picture of your animal on paper page with drawing space and fun fact on bottom. If you don't have this, a plain white paper will do!

Watch the two attached videos to review what we learned in class about animal traits. The 'Animal Adaptation' video is new - we did not talk about this!
Next, begin researching your animal that was assigned in class! Use the google doc attached to take notes OR find the page printed in your packet if that is easier for you. Only take notes in one place!

Find a series you can read on Epic. I have already seen some of your favorites: FlyGuy, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, CatNinja, etc.! Explore on your own today, and add to your reading log.
Reading log can be written down on a piece of binder paper, or find it attached. Once you have started a reading log, access it through you Google Docs.

Division Time! Complete all questions, then don't forget to press 'submit.' Make sure to only type the number answer, not a sentence!

At home, make sure you are trying to keep up our goal of 10 Mindful Breathing Minutes a day! Remember, we split up those minutes. You may want to try 4 minutes when you wake up, 3 minutes after lunch, and 3 minutes before bed. Up to you. Challenge your family members to do it with you!
For your first assignment, please write me a letter telling your plan for mindful breathing each day. Also, please include the reasons why breathing is so important for our brains. Don't forget to mention the hippocampus, prefrontal cortex, and amygdala. Make sure you explain all this to your family as well!
